Default Engine project plus some garage pics

This is what i have been working on the last day or so, the original engine was having an overheating problem, then we spun a bearing, basically it was trash. We bought a new one from ford and here it is, we are working on the install this weekend and hopefully will be done by wednesday, chances are that wont happen but i am hopeful

this is the old one, we are taking the valve covers off the old one and switching them with the new ones because of the finish as well as the svt plate etc. 2nd pic(a bird must have made a nest under the lower intake while it sat on the car lot with a smashed front end)

this is somewhat the finished product, dropping it in tonight hopefully, we also had the flywheel resurfaced and are considering a new clutch, not sure if that will go through though. A lot of work to get the other crap off...

1969 stingray with a big block 427, green interior less than 20 made in that combo
1981 small block vette black on black, its a dog but looks cool

You could have bought an engine with all the wiring and everything on it from a local ford racing dealer for 4500$

ill have to get some pics of my g/f's dad's 65 mustang I-6 fully restored, an older cadaliac (its pink w/ the airplane styling as they refered to back then), and both of his ss nova's..1 is semi completed, tubbed out, high compression corvette engine, and 2 speed powerglide, and the other is still rusting...then he has about 5 or 6 trucks from the 70's-80's

:stupid: why would i pay 4500 for all the wiring included when i can just do the simple task of removing and reinstalling all the stuff from the original engine?
