Default The REBUILD...

I'm gonna continue to update ya'll and post pics... maybe a mod could make this a sticky

OK...

Day 1...

I pulled the car into the garage...

Removed hood, front bumper cover (from under car), driver side fender, and several other misc under hood part...

A fix looks very very possible...

It seems that the strut bar stiffened the car and prevented the frame from being bent behind the struts...

The smog pump is destroyed too...

So far no major frame damage, or engine damage...

I'll post more pics tomarrow morning...

alright...

heres some pics...

You can see where the frame pinched and bent... so far only frame damage is in front of the struts... so this could be a very easy chop...

Does this mean you'll finally be getting new headlights?

J/k, I'm glad to hear that you'll be able to fix it. Best of luck.

Thanks for the nice comments.
S281 wing is in the future, same with painted mirrors, 3" tips, and lowered in the rear a bit more. Thats it for visual mods...wanna turbo but might just go KB down the road!

Well mine is a OEM cobra bumper with a abc exclusive lip added on. But they sell it all as a 1pc. item. www.abcexclusive.com But the bumper is ugly as sin :bash: (lol jk I just like it still being rare and not everyone has it) The stalker is also a nice front, there is one on a vert same color as yours and it looks amazing I cant find the pics though? The 2000 cobra R bumper is alright too abc sells lots of em.

Glad to hear your fixin the car!

When the engine/ tranny was pushed back, the yolk was jammed into the tranny... may be able to pull it back. The motor mounts are destroyed...

Undercarage looks fine... no major damage at all... skid plate has some bark rom the pole jammed in... and the passenger borla muffler is a little bent up...

Find a wrecked cobra around your year and go for that. Swap over the entire front and then have it painted the blue color you have. While your swapping it clean every part of the engine that you can...that would look mad sick.

I need to pull the engine anyhow... i need to clear all that out to cut/ weld frame in...

And i'm gonna sand blast the engine bay, then paint it... and clean the motor real good.. also gonna pull the headers and wrap them with that exhaust wrap stuff...

I mean you have to figure if your going to be doing all this work to it might as well make it mad sick in the process....Just make sure to do it all right....don't want it breaking on you down the road.

Edit: If your engine has some high mileage you might as well go and get a bottom end for it....
