welp...

Thats all for now...

Now I'm in the process of finding something to pull parts off of...

The plan... find a car with rear or side damage...

Gonna start calling junk yards and salvage yards to find a car...

will be lookin for a cobra... If I can find an SN95 cobra, (94-98) I'll yank the engine and tranny out as well... if not I'll pick up a 94-95 gt for the engine parts I need...

Also gonna get a cobra R hood (no vents)
and a nice front bumper cover... (haven't decided on which yet)

So... don't be surprised if the next group of pics has a nifty lil 281 DOHC 32V in em

wish me luck...
This car is easily fixable...

The frame damage is ALL in front of the front struts... so it WILL ride just like it did before... I'm excited...

Undercarage looks fine... no major damage at all... skid plate has some bark rom the pole jammed in... and the passenger borla muffler is a little bent up...

here come the pics
So nothing bounced up into your undercarrage?

i had that same bumper on my 95GT and got if from abcexclusive.com. I can't remember what it was called but it's basically a cobra front bumper with a ground effect peice molded onto it. bad thing it was fiberglass and it cracked on the first small bump that i hit, 2 days after i installed it and had it painted... i was pissed. I wouldn't buy it.

Good luck on the rebuild, can't wait to see how it looks when your done!!

ok... gotta part list...

1. abc GT bumper with spoiler
2. cobra R hood 3in over stock
3. those wheels (thats a given)
4. gotta find stock tails...

everything else will come off the parts car that I find... So basicly... thats what I am waiting on... might have a 281 DOHC32V in my car in a month or 2... or might have a cobra 5.0... or just what I got now...

the saleen bumper doesnt look that agressive unless you get the 99-04 style.

its wayyyy more agressive then stock GT and cobra (which is somewhat aggressive)

but not as ricy as the cobra R or black widow

and not ugly like the roush...

Well if you're just getting the non functional ones then it's a waste, but then again even with the actual functional hood pins..when are ya gonna need em. The hood flying up isn't 1/8th as much as a problem on SN95+ as it is those old fox bodies
BTW: if you get a new part and paint it, how do you get it to match your car? Do you just tell them the name of your paint and they can mix it to match or something? Because just saying "It's white" probably won't work since Ford has it's on special colors..like every other car company. And after it's painted, will the fresh paint really stand out from the weathered paint on the car?

Well the shop that is doing mine will paint the hood and the top of the fenders and then blend the rest of the fenders and then clear the hood and fenders. Then he will buff and polish the car for me... so it will match. The front bumper was painted 3 months ago and cant tell any difference.
Also why take the chance of it popping up on you...it cost 30.00 for the pins and thousands if you have it lift off...Mines are functional pins.

lol cobra r is soo ricey it comes off a mustang. Your future hood is gonna be ricey then. I'm just saying it doesnt stand out as much as its drawn in that pic. It is a supererb drawing though.

too ricy for me...

too low to the ground and it juts out to far for my taste... the thing that kills the gt bumpers is how they angle down and back so that you can see the bottem of the bumper... once that is eliminated then the bumper looks fantastic

oh yah...

I will need hood pins... look at it this way... hood will cost a few hundred, the pins will cost a few bucks and will prevent 300 hundred bucks from flying down the road...

paint... You go to a painter... they have a machine that matches the paint exactly... if its a stock color then you just buy that... easy...
