Default FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!! New tips are in after long backorder!

Ok, so after 4 longgggggggg weeks my new tips are in. Came home at 11:00 tonight and found the sitting in the living room, opened them up and snapped some pics. If I feel liek it I might take a pic of them in the sun to see how "black" they are. So far I'm happy! Great quality, we'll see how they last.

O yea, no pics of them on the car until my project is done, hopefully sometime in june

MRT, 140 with shipping. But they're all prewelded for perfect fitment and clamp on. Also Stainless Steal Black Chrome. There are very few stainless steal chrome tips that are aftermarket (not SLP, Borla, etc.) most are SS polished.

I've gone threw 4 sets of tips, and well, you get what you pay for. SLP are the only ones that have come close in quality, and I don't feel like paying SLP's price when they don't incude hangars

Can't wait to see them on your car. I'm going with MRT also because they look awesome and they are ready to bolt on. SLP look good, but again, they don't come with hangers.

For me, living in Alaska, shipping kills me. It is cheaper to buy nice tips and Flows and have them welded in than buy a catback. $200 for the mufflers, $150 for the tips, $80 for the welding=$430. SLP LMII Catback=$450 from MT plus about $80 shipping. Simply economics.

yeah but that 100 dollars is the difference between having LMIIs and FLOWS. Personally i dont like flowmasters... stang00 had them on his six and i have a friend dan who has them on his 96 GT and they both sound.... not as good as theycould with MAC or Magnaflow

I just don't like the interior noise so flowmaster 50's is what keeps my wife and kids still riding with me. I get really tired of drone at highway speed. My '65 mustang drones me to death.

Well took some pics of them in the daylight. Yea, I'm very pleased so far. They really keep the black look, I was kinda afraid they would just look chrome like "Foncarelli's???" did, I think i spelleed that right.

Well time to put them on!

Alright I lied I had to show them.

I had to fabricate the hangars they gave me, they hung the tips to high and rubbed the top of the Saleen cut outs in the bumper.

I tired bending with pliers at first, nope, hangars are verryyyy strong. So heated them up with a blow torch, bent, and let cool. Worked well.

I have them sitting back in the cut outs a little too. From the side angle they are in line with the curvature of the bumper. My old ones stuck out a little over an inch. Very pleased so far. I turned the car on to drive it off the ramp, and too my amazement my exhaust tone slightly changed at idle. It sounds a little "deeper" I think, actually my GF was the one who said "deeper" but it did change. Maybe that 1/2" less diameter, or the tips being slightly sunk in the cut outs caused this, who knows. Anyways, enjoy the teasers.... Next time I post pics my entire kit will be re painted, and a lot of little things will be added

I like the tips but the Saleen bumper conceals them too much.
