82 thunderbird tranny
what transmission came in a 82 thunderbird? the car has a 4.2l v8. i need to find another trans or a rebuild kit. would a V6 engine and trans out of a 84 LTD fit in the thunderbird?

well it could be either a C5 or a AOD. theres a certifaction lable on the driverside door or door jamb, on the botton line of the label theres a letter code for trans or a ID tag on the trans itself
also, if its the AOD on the shift indactor in the dash the "D" for drive will have a circle around it.
the V6 engine and trans will fit.
