Default Crash Sensors

Randy,

I am coming to you because I know you will tell me the real deal. Are the crash sensors and air bag monitor reusable following a crash? I have been told they are a one and done kind of part, but my shop manuals (Haynes, Chilton, and Ford) don't say anything about that and don't tell how to test them.

The car (95 mustang) was in an accident and the air bags deployed, so are all 3 pieces going to need to be replaced before hooking up another air bag or is there a way to test to for a bad sensor? I found an airbag in a junk yard, but haven't hooked it up yet for fear of immediately deploying it.

Thanks,
Scott
