Default Part Missing on my steering wheel

Randy... I don't know if you can help me or not. See the pic below. I bought my 2006 Mustang 2 weeks ago and when I got it there was a piece missing on my steering wheel. I asked the dealer ship to fix it and they gave me a song and dance and so I asked someone at a Ford dealership near me and they were clueless and no help. So, I figured I'd ask you. I would think it would be a cheap small snap in piece. Any/all help would be helpful.

Im guessing what's missing is the cover for one of the cruise control switches? if-so, you'll have toget the whole cruise control switch asbly, price is @$60.00

Damn, yeah. It's the plain black piece at the end. If that's the case then that dealership is paying!

I agree they should pay for its replacement, as it should be under warranty ......

Yeah it's an 06 but has just over 45,000 miles so it doesn't have a factory warranty on it anymore. When I bought it a few weeks ago, I got another 3 year warranty. I don't think they'll cover it though.

So can you quote me exactly how much it would be with shipping. And is this something I would be able to install myself?

need a zip code to get you a shipping charge and as far as installing it, the wheel and air bag have to come off/out, so it's not that easy...now I dont know about your area but most places give you a 30 day warranty on a used car............

02169 - The actual Cruise Control System works... It's just the cap that is missing so I'll have to look more into it.
