Call Ford, or post at the parts desk here...and Randy could most likely help you out with that.
naw, on the 00's they both had it... it looks like a little tray and were connected
like this O-O and you could pick it up by the piece in the middle
stang00 threw his away

There's a big cup holder that really doesn't hold cups because it's so damn oversized and everything you put in it falls over, and in front of that is a small one that is usually occupied by a little plastic ash tray that optionally sits in it, giving our 99-00 'Stangs no real cup holders but the one between your legs.

It makes the bigger one the same size as the upper one?

Arrow this is what the cupholder looks like....

this seems to be a mysterious cup holder that one's seen!!!

I can insert the ash tray on the smaller of the two cup holders. and I've never had problems with cups not fitting on it either

Yea, believe it or not Ford changed quite a few little things between 99 and 2000. Same body style, but for some reason they changed stuff.

The back cup holder in the first picture on the '99 is what I have. It's like 4" wide and doesn't hold a can of pepsi well at all when you're shifting and turning fast, I dunno, maybe I just drive too damn hard :P
