hope they enjoy it, because after next Saturday, it comes to an end. OU is too powerful, and MU blew their wad against KU...they are spent emotionally.

man KU isn't even out of the picture yet...we could still theoretically get a shot at the title game.

If OU beats MU, then OU is 11-2, and MU would be 11-2.

Even though OU would be Big 12 Champion, KU would still have the better record at 11-1.

MU #1
WV #2
OSU #3
Georgia #4
Kansas #5

If Mu loses, then they will drop out of the top 5 because they would lose to #9 Oklahoma.

So with an MU and WV loss, OSU would move to #1, Georgia #2, and KU #3, VT #4, LSU #5

now if you remember in 2003, when OU lost to K-State in the Big 12 Championship Game, OU was ranked #1 before that game (#3 afterwards) .and they still ended up playing LSU for the title....but that was OU's only loss during the regular season, that wouldn't happen with MU as they would have lost 2 games, twice to the same team in one season.

So if the computers somehow boosted KU (11-1) over Georgia (10-2), then KU would play Ohio State for the National Championship...how freakin bizarre would that be?

I know it's a long shot and not probable, but IT IS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!

or 2nd scenario.....

should MU and WVU lose, and Georgia plays Ohio State for the NC Title game, and Kansas beats their BCS Bowl game opponent by a wide margin, then KU could possibly still win a share of the national championship game, if the AP Voters vote that way.

SO KU Fans we're not out of it yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We need a lot of help!!!, but the way this jacked up wacky season is going, nothing would surprise me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just became the biggest OU and Pittsburgh Fans in the world!!

GO OU and Go Pittsburgh!!!!!!!!!!!!

they blew their wad last night...OU's gonna smoke em! Texas and Oklahoma is big time OU country...there will be way more Sooners fan than Tiger fans there, and MU has no experience in Championship games...OU does, and it will show next week.

MU's gonna lose this game!

Your just mad that Kansas was the most overrated team this season. At least Missouri was ranked #1.They said that OU and KU might meet in a Bowl game.Lets see how bad KU gets beat by OU,it should be sick!

i dunno if that will happen, but that would be a good game, and I'd like to see how we do against OU.

i didn't realize Reesing played on a severely sprained ankle during that MU/KU game...not making excuses, but i wonder how differently that game might have been if everyone had been completely healthy.

Doesn't matter. We won, they lost. And since everyone else decided to lose also, I think we should be in the National Championship since we just OBLITERATED the number one team! Go ahead, let me hear arguments! Tell me who can beat us with the way we're playing right now! BOOMER-FREAKIN'-SOONER!

Let the games begin!!!!!!!

BTW, to all you KU and MO fans, take it from someone who has been on top many times (ND Alum), EVEN THOUGH WE SUCK NOW:

1 - Take what you can get

2 - Be classy. That is what is supposed to separate college football from the pros.

3 - Don't be a one-hit-wonder. And to do that, you need to win games and win big over and over and over again. Many teams got to ride in the #1 spotlight this year because there was nearly a different team there every dam week.

4 - It is all about timing! Be careful what justification you use to say you whould be #1, because if you ask me, I would put Hawaii there. Why? Why the hell not? After all, I believe they have the best record and while they play hardley anyone good, all the good teams are loosing anyway.

5 - And, enjoy it while you can. Because, Miami, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Michigan, FSU, USC, etc.... will all be back on top sooner or later.....then again, maybe not.

6 - You need to get harder schools on your schedule besides just conference games.

BTW, I would like to thank both MO and KU for choking and wasting a chance for a no-name program to finally get to play to be #1 (sorry, just telling the truth). Fact is, KU screwed-up last week by getting destroyed by MO, and then MO forget to show-up last night. They were good enough to win but seemed to accept justing getting to #1 for a week. Looks like we will see OSU now back for a chance to play and prolly Georgia.

I actually agree with you Nofire...if not KU, then definitely OU.

OU is probably the 2nd best team in the nation right now. as for #2, I'm undecided.

LSU is definitely not. OSU is definitely not. Georgia Maybe, VT maybe.

I think it should either be

VT vs. OU

or

GA vs OU.

How can you say that? LSU and Georgia are in the same conference, both have the same # of losses, but LSU won the conference championship that GA didnt even get to.

As far as Va Tech, thats about as dumb and assanine as your argument that Kansas is somehow better than Missouri. LSU and Va Tech both are 11-2 but LSU plays in a tougher conference and oh yeah beat Va Tech by 41 points.

There is no question that LSU will get in, but imo Oklahoma should.

But as far as saying Ohio State doenst deserve it, how do you figure? Ranked #3, both 1 and 2 lost. They are 11-1 and won their conference outright. They beat 3 top 30 teams and their lone loss was to #13 Illinois. Kansas beat no one and lost to the only good team they played.

You need to take the blinders off. OSU will be in the big game wait and see. That is what happens when you are #3 and #1 and 2 looses. The only question is who OSU will be playing. I would be shocked if OSU does not play, then again, there is no telling.

That's true about OSU. I just hope we made enough of a case to play against them, b/c I think we'd kill them about like MIZZOU.

Looks like we get to destroy WV in the Fiesta Bowl. Steve Slaton, Pat White, meet Austin English and Curtis Lofton.

i knew it would be LSU vs OSU because the damn coaches and voters are biased...they're afraid to what's right, instead doing what's popular.

College Football is a joke without a playoff system.

The only way to do it is to have the top 8 teams conduct a play-off.

Be careful what you wish for though. You are pissed this season, but might be able to take advantage of it next year. I like it the way it is. This way every game is a play-off game. If you end up with a tournament, then you will have teams playing to just make the play-off forcing them to bench solid players afraid they will get hurt. Besides, loosers will always bitch no matter what you do.

They arent biased, you are just out of your mind and think Kansas is as good as the big boys. They havent proved anything to deserve a title shot. They are lucky to even get a BCS birth.

But here are your games.

Title Game - #1 Ohio State vs #2 LSU
Rose Bowl - USC vs Illinois
Sugar Bowl - Georgia vs Hawaii
Orange Bowl - Virginia Tech vs Kansas
Fiesta Bowl - West Virginia vs Oklahoma.

I actually really like those match-ups. I think USC will beat IL, but this gives IL a chance to really make a statement to see if they are real. USC will be the favorite, but I will cheer for IL.

Ga and HI.....should be a great game. Again, this give HI a chance to make a statement. These guys will be looking for blood where GA might loosk past them a little.

VT and KU.....seems pretty even to me.

WV and Oak, another good match.

As far as OSU and LSU, #1 and #2.....take it for what it is.

Now quite bitching everyone......some of your guys are pissed, but what the hell are you gonna say when your team looses in a game that you feel you should not be in?

I'm not discounting Illinois at all because I think they are a good team, however I'm not happy with the BCS picking them to play us. I really wanted a crack at an SEC team because they talk so much crap.

Ohio st is probably going to get destroyed....again.

alright but let me ask this.

how would you feel if the situation was reversed and it was your team?

KU

won 11 straight games, lost their final season game to #3 MU, and they only lost by 8 points while only giving up 36 pts.

LSU who is now in the NC Title Game, lost to #20 Kentucky in Oct in 3/OT, and gave up 43 points. LSU also lost UNRANKED Arkansas, and gave up 52 points at home in a 3/OT loss.

OSU lost to #21 Illinois at home 21-28. OSU is already in the championship game.

If anything it should be Hawaii vs OSU, OSU vs KU, or KU vs. Hawaii for the National Championship.

Honestly, LSU does not deserve a shot. They need more than an 8 game playoff.

But what I don't understand is how a team that doesn't play for 2 weeks, can move upto #1, but a team that played a week ago falls 3 spots to #8.

this thing is rigged towards the Big name schools, and it's downright favoritism, and if no one can see it, then it's only because the people who don't are fans of the big schools.

you may think I'm just crying about KU but im not. Hawaii got the shaft, Georgia is getting shafted.

When is the last time a KU, or Hawaii, or a BYU, or a Baylor, or an OK State, an Arizona, some school that's usually not that great in football, played for a National Championship?

Very rarely...but no one ever wonders why.

I can honestly say, it never used to bother me, because KU and ND haven't been good enough to compete for an NC Title (WATERDR...don't you even dare say ND has since the earlier 90's either, cause you know damn well we haven't) but now that it's two of my schools getting shafted (OU and KU), it does bother me.

OU has a legit argument, they're the best 2 loss team in the country, and they came close, but still got shafted.

Strength of schedule.... 4 of the top 25 teams LSU has beaten. what other team can say that? LSU is also undefeated in regulation.... only losing in triple overtime. LSU never gets the respect it deserves. let Kansas or Ohio play through the SEC and see if they don't come out with 3-4 loses. Georgia is not getting shafted...... they didn't do what they needed to do...beat Tennessee and win the conference. Hawaii played nobody. But thats ok.... LSU will be giving the shaft to Ohio state in the Dome

hey I hope all LSU fans and their players get that mentality, so I can laugh my *** off when OSU shoves it up your asses and breaks it off.

Mixedbreed, stop being such an amateur with the whole BCS thing. How old are you? ****, I was at ND all the way back in 1989 the last time they won the NC. I also recall a year when they had one loss, beat FSU, but lost to BC and FSU won the NC. That's the dam brakes.

Do you know why KU gets no credit? Because right now they are nothing more then a fluke. Give them a few years to prove themselves, build some history, then see what happens. The biggest problem that KU has is that no one outside your state gives a crap. Be thankful that you are in a BCS game and start working on your excuses now when you loose in January because that is always an option. These games are not a given....nothing is certain. If you wanted a better bowl game, you should have beat MO.

The only team that has any reason to bitch is HI.

as a KU fan i have a reason to bitch because we only have 1 loss. LSU has 2 losses...and every team with 1 loss has a reason to bitch as well.

I don't know about the only team, but they have the best case. As far as the best 2 loss team, I agree with MixedBreed. But we really can't complain that much b/c in the end, we messed up twice. Both times we could have won the game, and if we had, we wouldn't be in the mess that we're in now (I love calling "making a BCS bowl" a mess) As it stands, we now get to beat up WV and prove that way we should have been in THE game.

who has Kansas beat? any top teams. any teams ranked in the top 25?? i understand your bitterness. but you can take a college team and play all high school teams... go undefeated, but guess what, doesn't make your team good. and be real, Kansas will not even be able to beat VT.
