Hello all. my name is jeremy. i live in douglasville ga just west of atlanta. I joined the board because i am a huge stang fan. my first car was a 91' when i was 16 back in 95. i don't have one as of this moment, but i am in the market for an 88-93 5.0 5speed vert. i'm also interested in 94-95 but prefer the foxbody. hopefully i'll find the right deal soon. right now i drive a lightly modded 05 focus st as my dd. i would post picks if the hate wouldn't be too bad. LOL any ways just wanted to say hi. hope to be a part of the forum for a long time to come.

I drove a Focus after my first Stang, but got rid of it for another Stang because that's where my heart was.

 

yeah, i got the focus for a commuter car brand new when it had 17 miles on it, then got in to modding it a bit. it will remain my dd when i pick up a stang as the stang will be babied, garage kept, and built as time goes on. it will basically be my toy to cruise with the wife on the weekends and such.

 

That's awesome. I wish my Stang wasn't my DD. I had an '07 Focus that I bought brand new because I guess I was just "mad" at my Stang for developing all these problems. The more I drove the Focus, the more I missed the Mustang... so I bought an '04 Stang with just as many miles as the Focus had on it. I loved the rally suspension on that thing though.... I didn't lower the Focus. The only mods I put on it were wheels and dark tint.

Can't wait to see the Fox!

thanks for the welcome all. as for go mods not a ton. focus sport cai, polly motor/tranny mounts, MBRP cat back exhaust

suspension- KW springs, svt shocks/struts, progress rear sway bar, focus central front strut bar

then there the obvious like the stock wheels painted to match the car as well as the steeda grill that i painted to match. tinted side markers, tail lights, and rear ford badge. i also debadged the rear and replaced the boring st emblem with a euro st emblem. steeda tri-ax short throw shifter, and a bunch of other little subtle things. i'm not all about the loud colors and stand out crap. i would rather have everything flow together tastefully. lol oh, i almost forgot the black housing halo projector headlights. those really brought the car together. the stock chrome headlights just stood out like a sore thumb on a blacked out car. i've done some interior stuff as well, and a pretty solid sound system. i really have done quite a bit of work to it. just not a ton. but i'm happy with it. LOL i won class champion at fun ford weekend here in GA last year, 2nd place at a custom car audio show, and a top 75 award at a show put on by the corvette/camaro club of atlanta. yeah, they not only gave a ford some love, but a focus. LOL and there were tons of cars there. mostly classics so it was nice for the classic/muscle car crowd to give me props for a focus. LOL
