thanks for the warm welcome.

'08 GT/California Special, GT Appearance package (hood scoop), black and parchment interior, dark candy apple red ext. My wife and I have had a blast since we got it earlier this month. The CS package was irresistible.

Hey, PCola. I'm just up the road from you in south Alabama. We found a white California Special at World Ford in P'cola, but my wife really liked the dark candy apple red. She convinced me that red was the way to go.

Our local dealer located our red one with everything we wanted so the only thing I'm doing right away is getting a Mustang license plate frame.

We may add the interior ambient lighting package later. It's cool, but not a necessity. Anyhow, you have a sharp ride, too. We go to P'cola fairly often because there's not much to do in our small town. I'll be watchin' for ya.

Wife made you get the red..bummer, lol. I'm sure it's a nice car, def better than my 6. What city in Al are y'all in? There's another guy in Pcola, Donnie (Slither's his username here) with a Silver 99 GT with Roush front bumper and blacked out trunk, he's got one of the most eye-catching stangs in the city. lol

Post up some more pics of your ride! You'll get plenty of opinions on which wheels and other things you should get..once you start modding these cars you can't stop, heh

We're in Atmore - not really a "city". The most popular thing to do during a weekend in Atmore is go to P'cola.

White was my first choice. I had just watched the movie Vanishing Point (with the white '70 Dodge Challenger) twice in one week and I thought I had to have a white muscle car. The Cal Special in white looks tough, but the wife talked me into waiting so I could think about the red. The red kinda grew on me and since she would be driving it more than me - well, that's marriage.

This was my first car purchase where I was able to get everything I wanted - packages, options, etc. I can't afford to have another hobby where I'm obsessively upgrading/modding all the time. I do that already with my home stereo system and home theater. I find myself staring at the 'stang. She's just right the way she is.
