I have a Mustang, and it's kicking my ass!

What's up? Just got a '96 GT about 2 months ago. Standard. Last owner did alot to it, can't tell what most of it is. So I'll probably post some pics to see if some of you can tell me what it is. lol. Oh, if you're wondering why I put my Mustang is kicking my ass. One word....Insurance.

If anyone wants to send me money to help insure my Mustang, sweet. :nike:

USMCstang 04-14-2005 08:38 AM

Lol...we have our own insurance to take care of :D

Post away with the pics, we'll be glad to help you out

MattJ 04-14-2005 09:17 AM

You could always contact him and ask him to email a set of upgrades he did to the car.

Fat Lard 04-19-2005 08:29 AM

I have the pics of the engine and sheet. I will post them later, see if you can help me.

Fat Lard 04-28-2005 07:48 AM

Okay, I have been trying to upload my pics for the last 2 weeks. It just doesn't want to take 'em. So I'll continue trying, if you still give a shat.

USMCstang 04-28-2005 07:54 AM

Is it giving you an error? They should be in ".jpg" or ".bmp" format

Fat Lard 04-28-2005 09:12 AM

It's in the jpg format, but when I upload them onto the attatchments...I'm lost from there. I post the reply, but no pics.

MachGT 04-28-2005 09:57 AM

It will continue to be expensive for a while. I'd shop around for other insurance companies and make sure you stay out of trouble.

Here are two pics of my engine. If you can tell me the things you see, it'll be cool. If you want me to get closer pictures...I can do that too.

Whats missing is the dirt. Did you clean it up a bit.

MattJ 04-28-2005 05:43 PM

Thats all I see too. Looks like a BBK version...that's what I have.

I agree with Matt, I would check with the previous owner if possible.

It's not lowered, but check the suspension stuff. With the exhaust, check to see if it has 6 cats. Mufflers will usually have their brand stamped into them. Gears should be 3.27s, and if they were changed, you'd be lucky if the previous owner did the right thing and stamped a new tag on the diff cover. You could always pull the passenger side kick panel to see if there's an aftermarket chip plugged into the EEC. Really, the only things you can tell from pics of the outside of the engine would be intake stuff...CAI, MAF, TB, plenum, and intake manifold.

If you can get us some pics of the engine as a whole, we could tell you if you had U/D pullies and caster/ camber plates too, but thats about it.

BTW, go to www.photobucket.com ...its free and you can upload pics to that. It gives you IMG tags underneath your pics that you can just cut and paste into your posts. Makes it a whole lot easier....here's my album:

Cool, I've been trying to get ahold of the previous owner. No luck. But thanks for your help.

fallstar 04-29-2005 10:34 AM

post some more pics. All I see is the CAI, Bullitt rims, Strut Tower Brace and not sure but those may be FRPP Ignition wires. We need some more pics from different angles. Also, it wouldn't hurt to try taking a pic or two from underneath the car (can tell you if you have aftermarket suspension work done. And a better pic of the brakes... Then send a pic or two of the interior.

fallstar 04-29-2005 10:38 AM

USMC stang, you also have a Plenum, MAF, battery, and yellow top (24#?) injectors. It's easier to tell these things if you have the right angle on the pic.

LOL!!!. I know! I put them all on myself...cept for the MAF and injectors...those are stockers, lol. The battery's just a replacement :D

My picture was added for a reference for his assumed BBK CAI. :toothy9:

The strut tower brace comes from the factory on 96s.
