parting out the beast
 

It's got a busted valve spring and I don't have time or money to fix it enough to sell it so I'm parting it out.

These are all top shelf parts. Most are used only very lightly. I wasn't gentle on the car but it was built for that sort of thing. Exhaust is spoken for but I might separate the cat-back if anyone wants a 3" custom cat-back into 3.5" borla pro-xs mufflers with turndowns that's intended for a completely custom exhaust setup (aka, weld-in)

Is the CO kit for an IRS car? ie. would it work on the Termi?

Hopefully they'll make it in grabber blue. Always wanted a boss in grabber blue. Since I can't EVER have a boss 429 in that color, I'll take the next best thing.

Figure 135 shipped. You may have to swap slip-yokes but the length should be identical. As far as I know the yokes are the same. In any case, you'll get the one that's on it.

PM replied. At the 300 price just the calipers and pads and brackets. I'm tossing in the stainless braided lines. The rotors are also available.

You know... I think it might work. It's "for" a live axle car but thinking about it the shocks bolt up in the same relative place and way on the bottom and identically on top. The only real difference should be the spring rates. Maximum uses the 2.25" ID springs for the rear on their cobra kits which I have on mine because they also use them on their live axle kits. Call up maximum and tell them you're swapping to an IRS and you want to know if your live axle kit will work with your IRS. As far as I can tell there's no real difference at all... it's just a sleeve and a collar and a spring and a perch-hat (and some assorted bobbles). So, I say, yeah it'll probably work... I can't see why not. Call them though and ask just in case.

300 on a torque arm car is pretty firm. I did the research for you and it's looking like a 350#/500# F/R is a nice streetable setup and if you're more into corner carving than that then go 400#/600#. 600lbs springs in the rear. IRS man... While you're at it, if you haven't replaced the cradle bushings with poly or delrin/aluminum you ought to. It'll wring that last little bit out of it and solve some of the wheel-hop. Maybe save you a center section someday.


No. Didn't get a chance to look either. Had to kill one of my dogs yesterday. The whole day was pure liquid fat-bastard shit in a coffee mug. It's either a Griggs Racing or a FRPP. I had 2 that I kept over the years but I don't recall which one is on the car. Pretty sure it's a Griggs.

On another note, the partout is being paused (I know, I'm sorry). I have a potential buyer for the whole car and I gotta give him till this weekend.

brakes are 2 piston baer, sold to rkaz.

driveshaft is reserved for WNracing. I'll get a look at it asap and try and get a pic to you. You wanted something specific so I want to make sure you get what you wanted.

shocks and struts have less than 12K miles on them. They're bilsteins. I'd rather sell them with the coil over kit and the CC plates as an assembly. They're the single hardest part to remove from the car other than maybe the headers.
