SLP LoudMouth I's

great product and easy install.....no welding at all....SLP provided clamps to use instead of welding it....took 2 hrs to install in 30 degree weather and a hell of a wind w/ bear hands...so i took alot of time to warm up my hands....

the only downside is if u dont clamp them tight enuf...teh pieces after the over the axel pipe may fall off..trust me....i experienced it

great sound too in my opinion...

Red99GT 12-31-2005 12:45 AM

easy install for me too, just payed the mechanic 100 bucks :D
lol but the sound is awesome though, I can't get enough of it.

macs03GT 01-05-2006 11:48 AM

i wish i welded mine. It took me and a friend about 1.5 hours. That's with cutting off the old exhaust. But as soon as i took off for the first time....there went my over axle pipe. Had a little trouble keeping it on but finally tightened the hell out of it and now works perfect. LOVE the sound.

RyanGT04 01-11-2006 03:47 PM

How much louder would an SLP loudmouth catback be than flowmaster 40 mufflers....I have an o/r Prochamber if that would make any difference?

mattp343 01-11-2006 05:06 PM

is there a ton of difference between the Loudmouth I and LM II series systems?

PureStang 01-11-2006 05:15 PM

yea..the LMI's have a deep, raw, raspy tone to it....the LMII's have a deep, muffeled tone almost like the Magnaflow MagnaPaks but a lil more raw.....all 3 of these exhausts are loud....but for me...loud isnt enuf....

if u were to get Either the LMII's or MagnaPaks..i would get LMII's only because theyre a modular design meaning that u can swap out the Resonator/muffler for anohter resonator/muffler made by slp (you could probably fit other brands too but it hasnt been done to my experience)

PureStang 01-11-2006 05:17 PM

o and if thats ur car in ur sig..then you wont be able to use any of the exhausts because of hte side exit....

PureStang 01-11-2006 05:32 PM

Check out http://media.putfile.com/BRANDON297
this is another kid on the forums here....its my future set up....Full SLP setup

majik_420 01-11-2006 05:59 PM

ok so there are different ones on this site im lookin at, youm got magnaflow catbacks, SLP loudmouth catbacks.. ok well theres only two, but then whats the difference between these two if any at all?

PureStang 01-11-2006 06:31 PM

I have the LM1 and I love them. Very easy to install and the sound is exactly what I was looking for. Combine that with a great looking tip and you've got a great combination.

They sound even better with an x-pipe. I can't imagine how much louder mine is going to sound after I put the SLP long tubes on!

OFFdutyHERO 01-17-2006 11:17 AM

:pepper:  I LOVE SLP LM1's AMAZING IS THE ONLY WORD TO DESCRIBE IT. I get a TON of ppl who ask "dang what exhaust is that", and the best thing is when you hear "that sounds WAY better than my flows". :pepper:

i would like to know if the slp loudmouths are street legal and how much horsepower gain do they give?

The name says it all Street Legal Performance.....which is a yes....any aftermarket cat back will only give you 5-8 hp. But also take into weight stock mufflers are pretty heavy IMO the resonators that come with Loudmouth 1 are hollow and pretty light.

m0nkeh 01-24-2006 11:13 AM

double checking....can u get Longtubes with a REGULAR x OR H pipe? or do you HAVE to get shorty pipes to get Lt's? thx...

Icefreezen 01-24-2006 02:26 PM

Man you are goingoff in different directions........

Longubes require you to have a shorty mid-pipe (x or h) Now the other issue is the fitment problems SLP long tubes headers will only match up with the shorty x pipe they sell. Some other manufacturers have these fitment issues with other brands like BBK and MAC

Red99GT 01-24-2006 02:46 PM

if i have an offroad prochamber with loudmouth, which headers would go best??

Icefreezen 01-24-2006 03:14 PM

your going to need shorty or mid length headers to keep your prochamber or you could get a shorty prochamber and get long tubes.........MAC will fit better...kinda.....I am a fan of Bassani headers

m0nkeh 01-24-2006 07:33 PM

ok, so lets say i got SLP1 and wanted a shorty x and LT's, id have to get the x and Lt's at same time right? cant just put on a short X right?

Icefreezen 01-24-2006 07:59 PM

Now if your going SLP all the way...which you should because its SLP....youi can get their X-pipe now and all their parts are modulaer so when the time come for Long tubes all you have to do is take off the 2 pipe that go to your headers and you'll have a shorty x pipe that fits might I add...I know thats what your thinking

m0nkeh 01-24-2006 08:03 PM

i want that exhaust that one kid has...lol sry forgot his name but he has the vid, SLP1 with Xpipe and LT's...ya kno wut i mean, so I COULD get my SLP1, then get a Xpipe, and when the time comes, i can take off the 2 pipes and slip those LT's on?

Icefreezen 01-24-2006 08:14 PM

Springs is 0/r

m0nkeh 01-25-2006 10:23 AM

springs? i meant 40thblckgt's setup with the full SLP...his also O/R?

PureStang 01-25-2006 01:02 PM

thats before he got blown...so then that w/ the cats....i think he told me that after he got blown he's removing the cats....thats still gonna be the setup im getting

G PURE 260 STANG T 01-25-2006 05:16 PM

if i were to get a full exhaust setup wat should i go with and how much will it all cost.

PureStang 01-25-2006 06:30 PM

if u want a full setup...get all slp....theyre ment to be together and they fit perfectly w/ each other...as for cost...1421.85 not including PA tax if u order from Mustangtuning.com....and then u have installation of the longtubes.....

id say just go w/ the catted x pipe and the catback until ur pushing more air into the engine

m0nkeh 01-25-2006 07:19 PM

i dont think ill ever have the cash to get my blown, prolly exhaust, gears, tuned, and rims...lol if im lucky but i did JUST get the car, got yrs to save...lol

work for it...strive for it....and ull get it....but if u want my $.02...got w/ the slp catback...then get the s/c....and use the superchargr as a base to build off of....im taking Madmatt's advice on this one..just not the stripes advice...lol

m0nkeh 01-25-2006 07:54 PM

lol...i want stripes but idk how they'd look on the my stock hood...but idk if id want S/C after...I WAS thinking... SLP1...xpipe...gears+tune...rims(grad. presant... i hope) then save for s/c, i JUST got the car and got prolly 3-4 yrs to save...lol by that time my 00 will be a collectors item :(

whitethunder46 01-26-2006 08:53 PM

I got the full SLP set up, anyone can ask me anything they want. I think I gotta few soundclips in the exhaust vids sections. I have cats with LMII and the LT's

White04GT 02-02-2006 02:32 PM

I have a Bassani O/R X pipe and SLP Loudmouth I catback and it is loud as F*CK I will try to get a exhaust video sometime..I plan on getting some bassani longtube headers at 1 point or another...probally will switch to the LM II resonators then so raspy right now thinking about getting the LM II resonator's before headers.

G PURE 260 STANG T 02-02-2006 08:00 PM

how long will it take me to install slp x-pipe and slp loudmouth I's?

whitethunder46 02-02-2006 08:28 PM

If you have some experience, 3 hours with a jack. My estimate

PureStang 02-03-2006 06:06 AM

took me 2 hrs w/ a few 10 min breaks cause my hands got really cold at times....unexperienced by myself

G PURE 260 STANG T 02-04-2006 11:04 AM

well i have some experience with working on cars never done an exhaust and i have access to a shop but only for 2 hours a day and im no leaving my car there over night i dont trust people. maybe i could do it in 2 hours but i also dont want to rush i want to do it right

whitethunder46 02-04-2006 12:42 PM

If they have a lift it's very possible you could have it done in two hours. But your risking not finishing in time for sure. If I were you I would do the catback one day and the X the next.

Ibougfht a 2010 Challenger RT hemi 6 speed. I saw you guys are in pa and so am I. I REALLY want to run SLP loud mouth 1 series the loudest ones. My concern is that it wont pass emissions b.c the muffler looks like a straight pipe.

I ran super 10 series on my mustang 5.0 and it was not too loud but any louder might get me a noise violation. Are these too loud to drive through Philly/ nyc and other sometimes sensitive areas?

Does the SLP have an actual muffler that will pass pa state inspection without any issues? What are the chances it will throw on a check engin light and void my extended factory warenty? Thanks!
