Well a guy with a 94 GT and he wants to sell me his 3.73 gears. would his gears work with my 03 GT?? He is selling it for 80 bucks! sooo??

yes they will work...i think that the 94+ mustangs have the same rear-end

Yes, you both have 8.8 rear end, however, I would fork over the extra 45 bucks and get new gears. I would also go higher than 3.73 unless you plan on going forced induction.

new gears? well iim guessing they are not used gears because he bought 4.10's and im assuming he never put in the 3.73's, but ill ask him tommorow! Naw 3.73's are good for me, cause down the road im going to get a kb!

And your the onlly person i know with em! haha but hopefully his gears arent used and i can buy his 3.73's Also what is a good tuner to buy after my gear install?

Is it good to buy used gears? jw i mean i doubt he had it on for long but ill let you guys know tom!

for 80 bucks if they dont have any weird signs of wear then they are fine. and any gears from a 8.8 rear end can work in any 8.8 rear end.

for the tuner get the sct if ur willing to fork over the money...but if u just want to correct the speedo...then go w/ a speed recalabrator...

well i checked out the gears today and everything looked fine to me! no noticeable damage, just by looking at it! soo.. i think everything is good! looks like ill be getting gears sooner than i thought!!

No, but Ive driven mustangs with 3.55s(cobra), 3.73s, and 4.10s.

As far as a tuner, have a custom Xcal2 made for your car, dont go with that Diablo crap. JMO

Agreed, SCT Xcal2 is awesome. I had my car dyno tuned with one and gained 13rwhp and 22 rwtq just from the tune

OMG I cant wait for dyno day in Jan. I cant imagine what ill do if I end up with 22 more lbft of torque.

lol, the tune was one of the best mods i think.. it made the car feel like it came from the factory with all those mods, cuz i had lost a considerable amount of power down low, it gained a lot of it back.. here's my dyno sheet..

if i dont want to sacrifice gas mileage (too bad) at highway speeds but still have good acceleration what gears should i get?
