Dangers of NOS, power adders.
Ive been seeing a lot of threads about nitrous. I wouldnt mind giving the old stang a lil kick in the **** and get her haulin.
Ive checked out several kits like the venoms, and i think they are pretty sweet, especially with the rev window and all the other saftey features, with proper set up they seem pretty safe.
Ive heared that NOS will still cause problems over time though, not the instant destruction of the intake, im talking about increased engine wear, scorching of the pistons, etc, etc.
What are the downsides to NOS other than cost of bottle refills?
With a 100shot, how many 1/4mile runs will you get?
If i use it on average of once a week, how much wear can i expect that to put on the engine?
Also, would you expect an 04 GT with CAI, Xpipe, Straights, 4:10s and 100shot to run the 1/4 mile?
Ok Nitrous Gugu's, lat it on me. lets get down to brass tax here and split some hairs. Whats the score here?

you will get ruffly 10 passes with a 10# bottle on 100hp pills.
If will add some wear same as a blower will but not constantly becuase it only stresses the motor when being used. so its actuly easier on the motor.
as for time once again like all other post on times it depends on the driver car condtition etc....

2 - I get about 5 - 6 runs on one bottle. This obviously depends on the size of the nozzle and amount of bottle pressure.
3 - 1/4 mile times are tough to predict becuase of the driver, altiitude, weight mods, and suspension mods. But let's assume the car is modded only as you mention and on street tires. If so, 12's should be the goal. I would expect mid to low 13's right off the bat w/o much practise. But, certainly 12's are within reach. With the right suspension and a little weight removed, 11's are even possible.
