Yes, it will bolt up, and it will be VERY loud. Do you have cats?

The tuner was 300 bucks. It wont work on yours unless I "unmarry" it from my car, which I wont do, because then I'd be screwed.

The diablo doesnt work with the 96's besides. It only goes back as far as a 98 GT.

Oh, dont worry about the fact that you dont have cats, it will make it bearable to drive since you have cats. SLP with no cats is deafeningly loud. Itll sound just fine with the bassani. There is a sound clip of it over in the videos section under exhaust clips from venoms car. Listen in to it.

Its not deafeningly loud unless you are drivin like a bat-outa-hell everywhere. You get noticed when you want, and when your just goin about daily driving, its a beautiful tone. BUT of course, a lot of this is in opinion so thats my 2 cents. I have to admit tho....when you are gettin in to it...loudmouths can be loud enough to make you cringe and cover your ears...shortly followed by grins from the driver lol.

So is it true then that even with emissions testing, as long as you have no check engine light, you will pass? Or let me rephrase, so long as you have a lazy inspector who does not look to make sure the cats are there, you will pass? I am in NC as well, Johnston county, so about 3 hours west of you guys, and we have emissions tests (ie hook to computer), but nothing goes into the tailpipes, and they have never looked under my car for anything. I posed this question before but never really not a straight answer.

yea we are getting it next jan also but i think what i am gona do is just tell the exhaust shop to bolt the cats on and have a pice of pipe made to fit the space so i can remove and replace when i want and that way even if they do look theyll be there or just hollow them out but as far as i know safety is all

Hey i have a 96 gt as well with flowmasters on it right now...i feel it has a good sound to it but still want it louder (the car cam with flow's) so i was going to just find a decent O/R x pipe to slap on their hoping to make it louder now i see you have flows and an xpipe now...i dont know what kind of flomasters i have exactly but can u give me an idea of how much the sound of your car changed when you bought your x pipe thanks

I was thinking about that too. I wish mac made theyre pipes like SLP did, where you can just swap out your cats and race pipes.

yeah, SLP is loud w/ no cats
but try it w/ no cats, long tubes, and cams, it'll change your definition of loud real quick...

The vert in the vid I posted has LT headers and an off road h-pipe. That thing is real f**kin loud. When I was holding the cam while he was reving, it popped my ears!!

check out my sig for my exhaust, I'm glad I have cats. I absolutely LOVE my sound. The cats kinda keep it quiet at idle, but as soon as you punch it, the sound is saawweeeettt.
