okay...today my dad and i were putting on my bbk cold air induction system with no problems(it is the fenderwell style). I was coming home from work and i heard a loud bang coming from my engine. I pulled up to my house and checked everything and it seemed to be on just as we installed it...i then looked under my fender and noticed that there was no filter. It must have gotten loose somehow and shot out from under my fender. My whole intake system is in perfect condition now...just without a filter. Can i just go to my local pep boys or car store and buy a k&n high flow filter and replace this??

 

In the meantime you can put a sock if you have to use stang.

 

Yeah , what venom said, because its really bad to even start your car without someting filtering that air
