I have a 01 GT I'm getting a service engine soon light. Put on obd reader and came up cam position sensor A malfunction. Anyone know how to resolve problem . Car runs ok has 117,??? Miles thanks for any feedback Bill

 

Check your alternator first before replacing the sensor. Sounds crazy!! Put the alternator on a machine to check it.

 

Thank Tuff 4.6 for your input. Though I did replace the sensor it did turn out to be the alternator. replaced it and away went starting and idle problem and engine light went out also. who would of thought. Thanks Bill
