Default Longtube bolts

Hey guys, I haven't been on here for awhile but I came across a question I need help with.

I bought some used BBK long tube headers off of craigslist for cheap. The guy I bought them from used the stock header bolts on them. Could I use the stock header bolts without them backing out? Also, are the stock header gaskets ok? I just don't want to spend a fortune on those locking header bolts. If I shouldn't use the stock header bolts, what size bolts do I need?

I don't believe the stock ones aren't meant to be used with long tubes. I would highly suggest getting the locking header bolts, otherwise you'll be spending money twice to replace gaskets and re-tighten the bolts. Don't reuse gaskets otherwise you'll be pulling them off and replacing. Spend the little extra money and do it right otherwise it will cost you double.

agreed...i would do the locking header bolts and new gaskets. My buddy has done many of these installs and each time used stage 8 locking header bolts and percy gaskets and has not had any leaks or backing out bolts.

edit...just priced these and you can get them both for $80 from summit.
