Default 1999 2v timing cover

I'm tired of changing belts...My single bolt tensioner just isnt keeping enough tension on my belt. The damn belt jumps off of power steering pump. I finally got belts with warranty's so I dont pay for them anymore but in the past 30k miles I have changed them around every 5k miles. Since I been in Arizona I'm on my 3rd one, ******* ridiculous. Every thing is lined up perfect its just my power steering pulley now. Last time I changed the belt I noticed some shaft play on the power steering pulley, is this normal?

I'm buying a 99 GT timing cover tomorrow with all pulleys and tensioner. Craigslist is the ****. Last year I nearly bought a timing cover for 100 dollars without pulley's or tensioner. Now, I'm getting one with everything for 100. I need a new bracket for the blower but is only 94 bucks.

My blower is leaking oil because of this belt problem. Just started leaving oil on the bottom of my hood. Now I will be buying a new seal and installing that at the same time. I have a nice weekend project ahead of me.

Will there be any surprises when I go and take the cover off? will the power steering pulley be a bitch to pull off? If the 99 motor is a romeo will there be a problem for it bolting to my windsor block?

okay...I forgot about this thread.

The timing cover I looked at a couple weeks ago was from a 2000 mustang. The seller was mistaken and I didnt clarify that I need the 3 bolt tensioner.

I found someone parting out a 98 GT and will be picking up the cover tomorrow. I just sold my 26" ET drags for 200 bucks and that will cover the cost of the timing cover, new tensioner, vortech bracket, water pump pulley and power steering pulley.
