Default Exhaust

What Is The Best Exhaust System/setup For My 01 GT Convertible? I Would Like It To Sound Mean And Clean At The Same Time, If That Makes Sense, And Of Course I Would Like Any Extra HP I Can Get, So What Should I Get, Brand, Model, Etc., Also Any Info On Best Places/sites To Buy From Would Be Appreciated As Well. Thanks.

I would go out to youtube and listen to different set ups. I'm most familiar with 2 setups, magnaflow (non magnapack) w/off road xpipe and flowmaster (2 chamber) with off road xpipe. The flowmasters are by far louder and sound good they just drone at cruising speeds. I didn't want droning because I drive a lot of highway so I have magnaflow. The magnaflows are opposite of the flowmasters...they are stock sounding at idle, rumbles good during regular acceleration and screams at wide open throttle. I also think the magnaflows help with the raspyness created by the off road xpipe because my car has little to no raspyness to it.

There is no best system when it comes to just a simple catback and mid pipe swap. I would go and listen to videos of cars just like he said and figure out what you like the sound of best.

Because everyone has a different idea of what they like there car to sound like.
