lets say you have 2 grand, and a stock 'stang. what would u do, what companys would u use, and why?

 

First and foremost. Put in some new gears. 4.10s for N/A, 3.73s for Power adder. Then, Longtubes and a midpipe. Right now, the flowtechs are looking great to me, so thats where my moneys at. Then, some drag radials. That should leave you with about 700 bucks to put a nitrous kit on. Then, call it a day, and get a tune before you spray.

 

ya, put some drag radials on your stock rear end and watch your car be towed away because it doesnt move anymore.

 

LOL, thats not always a garantee. Just dont launch it at 6 grand and expect it to live very long.

if you drop at 6 grand with nitrous you probally won't hook up.... if i had 2 grand i'd get 31 splines $200 4.30's $200 lt's $400, x pipe $100 (flowtech) cat back $500 (magna flow), pulley's $200, 90mm maf and a tune. and that's if i put the stuff on my self

you can still launch much harder, just dont go crazy with it. whats the point of modding your car unless you mod it enough to run 7s?

 

i checked this for a sec earlier and was gunna ask the question about a rear end but everyone else got it too. i think id do somewhat what the first guy said, but instead of nitrous get a new rear end, and tune it

speaking of which how much would a 9inch rear cost ya?

 

dont even bother 31 splines and a differential are plenty strong enough for what you want to throw at it.

Not true. Over 100passes on a stock 02 Gt rear with nittos and i lunach at 3,500rpms and powershift that sucker everyay.

Still loves it.

 

I have a stock rear and drag radials ... but I lauch at 1500 stock converter lol
