13sec runs stock GT only any body

Totally stock? I doubt it. Even at sea level in Fl that would be tough with all the extra weight. I give it a definate maybe. My car as modded only runs a 13.8 corrected. If I could learn to drive better, I should be able to pull a 13.4 corrected, but heck I have wider and better tires too than stock. The pros are only pulling high 13's with stock coupes. I believe verts generally run mid to low 14's stock.
Just my thoughts.......

i got my 02 gt stick. Totaly stock down to the air filter and silencer went 14.3@98 with bald back tires and at the ****test track in the world orlando speed world. plus it was 98* the day i ran my car. i have yet to go back to try again but i think a vert would be around 3tenths slower due to your extra weight. so like a 14.5-14.6 would sould right for a vert.

I think there have only been a few people to actually take stock one to the thirteens. Its very hard to do and you have to drive the car like you absolutely hate it. I just dont see it being worth it to beat the crap out of your car to make it run a 13 stock. Just work your way up to it.

4 letter words
"fast" is a GOOD word..."cost" is a BAD one. I ran 12.8's at FunFordWeekend in Bristol last month (Saleen S281 with twinturbo) on street tires and with stock 3.27 rear. Managed to blow up the engine on my final run though...
"drive it like you hate it" = "drive it like you're rich".

Up in smoke!
Here's a look at the tires going up in smoke ... right before my billfold also went up in smoke. Haven 't torn the engine down now but looks like a rod let go...plenty of scrap. The oil pan looks like it took a hit from a Claymore mine.
Now that I have an anchor I may go look at some boats this week...
(not really!)

smokin'!!!
Here's a look at the tires starting to go up in smoke ....right before my billfold did the same. Haven't torn down the engine yet but looks like a rod let go.
Plus, the oil pan looks like it took a hit from a Claymore mine.
As Arnold said..'I'll be back!"

That's a great time for your altitude. As a general rule. each 1,000 feet costs you about 0.3 - 0.4 seconds. That could put you in the low 13's at sea level. There are lots of guys running in high 12's with only 250 hp to the tires with 4.10's and DR's and a little bit of a diet.
Do you know how to correct your times for altitude and weather? I canpoint you in the right direction.

Hey Hammer, sorry you lost your engine. You say you had twin turbos. Have you ever run a supercharger? What were the factors that made you decide on turbos? Interested in hearing pros and cons of both.
Thanks

I see convertible GT's running 14.5's. I have pulled 13.8's here in Baton Rouge with my coupe. It has slight mods (underdrive pulleys, 75mm throttle body, MAC CAI, headers, x-pipe, flowmaster 40's, etc) but I didnt have to drive it like it just crapped on my floor.
I honestly didnt think that there was that much weight difference between the two. Down here, 100 pounds = about .10 in time.

2 - Register yourself so you can use the sight. BUT, don't leave us here...we love you!
3 - Click on "My ET's" at the top section, and fill in your info fromt he time slip. You need altitude and weather conditions from the run. The program will do the rest.
This is a great way to compare runs from different nights or from different tracks. A 14.3 one night may be actually slower than a 14.5 from another night. This is a good way to determine how you are really doing.

need new tires
I just ran mine for the first time last friday(on the worst track in the world)
Pulled a 14.14 @100.67 with probably the worst 60' due to spinning--2.29(stock tires)
I was under 100 feet above sea level (virginia)
02-coupe-5speed
flows,TB,CAI,pulleys,plenum,tri-axe

Don't forget guys, the question was originally posted about stock verts. I have never seen or heard of a bone stock vert running 13's. Too me stock is off the showroom floor for the purpose of my response.

Get some nitto drag radials, I love mine. They are fine in the rain. Better than the Tires that came on my car some Futura 245/50s, pep boys brand, Im sure after the treads gone that will change. Ive been driveing one them everyday for a month, and hardly any wear is showing. They corner Better than the street tires i Had on there.
I have 4 new tires on rims which i bought when i ordered the nittos figuring i would have to swap for rainy weeks, But no need.
