You will need an impact wrench,or if your car has a manual transmission,a 1/2 inch breaker bar.Rent or buy a pulley puller with metric bolts.Get some RTV sealer and go to work.March now makes a harmonic balancer crank pulley so Steeda or March would be worth looking at.

pullies are WAY too easy to install to pay a shop to do it.

Just installed mine in under 2 hours I believe, that's with taking breaks :) Definately get an impact wrench if you can.. they're so helpful either way. And we took the handle off the jackstand and put our socket wrench down in there to help with the crankshaft removal :) it worked out pretty good.

I had my local Ford dealer install them for $55.00. I think it is waste to try to do yourself for that kind of price.

csledd 07-12-2005 06:50 PM

maybe so.. but me and my dad have enjoyed installing everything on the car so far. plus the local dealership here is full of morons.. everything they've ever done to the car has fked up :(

I have the ones by SLP. Felt a bit quicker and did notice a bit more gas mileage. i get about 31 on the freeway......easy to install.

madmatt 07-13-2005 08:21 AM

Wow, might have to look into them if they really help the gas mileage.
