Compression Testing
I'm looking into a buying an '03 Lincoln Navigator engine to swap into my '01 Stang.
I was inquiring about it and they claim, "It has 49000 miles and the compression is 275."
What does a compression of 275 mean? I understand the compression ratio but I'm pretty sure that's not one.
Also, I have experience working as a mechanic (not on cars) but have never done an engine swap. Any good reference guides online or otherwise?
Oh ya, I know this is a DOHC and is accordingly a decent bit harder to do than an SOHC but I think it will be worth it in the end. That said, any advice is appreciated.

Thanks, I've been slowly reading through it for the last week. Unfortunately it's all 2v stuff so far.
