Anyways ill just go with this PI heads/intake, cams, supercharger, 4:10 gears, tuner, long tube headers, slp loudmouth exhaust, maybe nitrous in the future... you guys think this will get my mustang atleast 400+ hp?

PI heads and some nitrous would get it there no problem. So would PI heads and some boost, but you need to know that when you swap the PI parts onto a 96-98 GT you will raise the compression ratio so you will not be able to run a lot of boost unless you rebuild the motor and use low compression pistons. However nitrous loves compression.

Boost can come from a turbo, supercharger, rootsblower, etc... all of those create positive pressure in the manifold also known as boost.

i got a question for you... when you have nitrous on your car do you have to press the nitrous button to be able to get that hp boost? and does it last just them seconds ur car is going?

nitrous does not work like in need for speed or like in fast and the furious.

nitrous basically engages after its been armed, which you do have to swith on, and then when you are at wide open throttle (WOT: when the pedal is right to the floor).

nitrous oxide works on the principle that more oxygen alows the engine to perform better and go faster. N20 enters the engine and is broken up to allow more oxygen to burn with the fuel.

There are many different ways to use a nitrous kit. All kits that you buy come with a WOT switch or Wide open Throttle switch. This way once you turn the nitrous kit on and the car is at WOT it will spray nitrous for as long as you hold the gas pedal down. This works very well for auto cars, or manual cars that do not powershift there car.

Another way is to use the wire in a button along with the WOT switch so that you can press it and use it only when you want to while at WOT.

Another way is to use a "window switch" this will only spray the nitrous a set rang or window of rpms. This is great for manual cars so you do not have to worry about backfires etc... with this the nitrous kit only sprays when at WOT and at the preset rpm window.

Those are the 3 basic ways to get the job done. For auto cars I would just use the regular WOT switch that comes with the kits as you do not need to lift once when the car shifts. All you have to do is not turn the kit on till the car is over 2,800rpms (same for any nitrous use on any car). For a manual car I think the window switch is the way to go and its what I use on my car.

Nitrous will last as long as you hold the gas peddle down at WOT with the kit turned on.
