my car is a 99 but my question is can just the clutch on the a/c compressors on the 4.6 be replaced or do you have to replace the whole compressor. I replaced the compressor a few months ago and the a/c works perfect but whether the ac is on or off the clutch seems to be making a ticking noise on every spin it makes.

 

you can just repalce any one of the 3 clutch parts....ie; pulley, field or dics & hub asbly
