Turbos aren't dumb. When done right (not rice burner style), they will destroy any type of supercharger. However, I myself rather stay NA and if I had to choose, it'd be a roots or screw blower for more low end grunt and if it's a 6-71, well, then it's just awesome.

I hate turbos because of turbo lag but when turbos are set-up right, there is no lag and because they don't suck up power from the crank (but instead use wasted power in the exhaust), they are more efficient and therefore make more power. There is a reason why the OEs prefer turbos over 'chargers, especially for mileage purposes. However, I'd still take a supercharger since it fits better (no crazy exhaust routing) and no lag period. |
