I have a Teksid that I will likely ujse for a build for future use. In other words taking my time!
One issue is the oil dipstick tube is broken off at the block. Now since the block is aluminum it has a steel sleeve for the two sections of the tube. I am not sure if all 4.6 modulars have this 2 piece but this block does. There is a short piece that is opressed into the block from the inside! This is a very hard piece of steel that would take a hammer to dent. That, I understand is simply an extension.
Now here is trhe issue. The original tube is obsolete so what are guys with Teksids, including '96-'98 Cobra's using? There is another piece that is a press fit into the sleeve in the block that the dipstick presses into as I found an o-ring as I was messing with the piece I got out. The dealer thought it may have been threaded in.
Does anyone know what dipstick and tube will work with this block, it is a '93? THX
