some gears would put you in the high/mid 13's with some sticky tires! They should run anything between $300-450 installed! I recommend FMS 3.73's or 4.10's!

i do alot of interstate drivin so 3.73 would prolly be the way to go. you think a chip will lower me in the 13's

madmatt 06-22-2005 01:04 PM

Get 4.10s, trust me. Get them and dont look back unless you are getting a blower. Are you and automatic or a 5 spd? Also, dont forget some drag radials or slicks would help as well.

i go 100 miles on the interstate ever weekend 4.10's wont be to smart. i have 275 in the back now they should hook ok i hope. i just want to be in the 13's bad

Badfish 06-22-2005 01:28 PM

there are people on this board that travel over an hour to and from work on the highway with 4.10s and they say they love em. Get 4.10s

cobra4123 06-22-2005 01:36 PM

buy a cheap honda and 4.30's

dom 06-22-2005 01:37 PM

get gears, off road mid pipe, and an sct xcal to accomodate for gear change and 02 issue. as well as give more power

Madi98GT 06-22-2005 07:47 PM

I got 21 mpg when I had 4.10s with the cruise set on 75. However, now I have 4.30s.

Meet in the middle - 3.90's.

Brad03GT 06-27-2005 05:36 PM

I have 3.73's and love them. Mine will not hook up in 1st or 2nd on street tires. I drive around on some Nitto dr's now, and love them. I would 3.73's, but that's just me. I shift into 5th at around 120. What are u guys goin into 5th at with the 4.10's?

03stangblue 06-28-2005 10:10 AM

My friend just got 4.10's in and said it was brutal on the interstate, so that makes me think twice about them. but i fell that 3.73 wouldnt be worth it cause its not to big of a difference.

I agree. 3.73s too low? 4.10s too high? hmm I wonder what they made 3.90s for....

:idea1:

I'd get an off-road X pipe first then 3:90's

Bah, had I known how much tq I would lose with the offroad pipe, just to get the sound, Id have gotten the gears first, but I was stubborn. Just get some 3.90s like they said. If frpp had made them, Id have gotten them for mine.

you may have felt a small loss down low, but you gain it in other places, such as in midrange and upper rpms
