Help with price

Yeah bro, i just bought my 2004 gt for $17,000 on autotrader.com. It has 25,000 miles, all leather, mach 1000 system and convertible. Paint, body and interior still look brand new.
I thought that was a little high, but when i compared it to other stangs i test drove, this was the best conditioned one i found out of about 5 i actually looked at.
I was in the market for a Lightning, but figured the way gas is rising, this might be a little less of a headache for me.
Here is a link to my car BTW:

Well. According to Kelly Blue book the suggested retail is 10,090 for a hardtop in excellent condition, and 11,590 for a convertible in excellent condition.
I would look around. I'm sure you a can talk them down cause the car is prolly only worth four to five thousand tops. And five thousand being that it is in excellent condition. I have an 01 gt convertible with 111k on it. Was thinking of trading it in until I found out that they were only going to give me 4,000 for it. So is a dealer that is sellin it?

A few things you need to consider.....as a car gets older and miles pile on, you will see a greater variation in price from car to car. Also, a lot of stangers mod their cars and think they are worth more, when in fact, they are worth less. The local market and condition play a big factor as well.
Most banks will only allow you to finance up to 80% of the retail value of a car. A good rule of thumb to follow is that if the bank won't give you a loan, or if it is a struggle, then don't bother trying to buy it. That is a HUGE warning signal.
BTW, a stock 2000 GT Vert with 71k has a KBB private seller price of around $11k.
A hard-top with 110k miles is probably more like 6-8k....lower then what I indicated above
