Comp Cams are great. They have been in bussiness a long time. I believe these cams here are for a higher power band and they have a rough or "loppy" idle. You will loose a little on the bottom end, thats why you need the gears or stall. You will definitly have to upgrade your valve springs.

I belive this would a great upgrade if you could afford to upgrade the heads also. The total package would have the ol BUTTOMETER tighten up. You have a good foundation to build on.

I would wait until I could afford the whole package.

i would definitely upgrade the heads as well cause im not sure you would feel much of a power differece with just cams
