are bbk billet udp pulleys any good or should you stick to steeda, slp.....

found a set for $50

 

Some people don't like the piggy back style ones which i believe those are. They say it makes your harmonic balancer go bad faster, yet i see tons of 5L cars using them... On the other hand i have Steeda's i got used and i like them allot.

 

I had steeda's on my 03 GT and couldn't even tell the performance gain. Some people swear by the pulley mod, but i'll skip in on my next stang.

To answer your question, I'd stick with steeda pulley's. All you ever hear is to stay away from piggy back style pulleys like BBK because of the stress that style of pulley puts on your harmonic balancer like spike said.

 

All I've ever had is BBK's and I like them.

 

Yeah i hear this and that about piggy back style ones, yet no has ever that i have known had one actually fail using the piggy back ones. I got a 1mph gain at the track with similar weather with the pulley swap and same 60'. I think if you get them cheap its worth while to do it.

 

i have the steedas. the car did pull a little harder after I got them put on.
