I got a major problem
OK, i was taking off my x-pipe. to install a UPR 1. Well the driver side bolts where on their tight, i fought with both of them for about 20 min, sprayed WD-40 on them and let it sit for awhile, so i moved to the passanger side, they came off easy, no struggle..well after and hour of the bolts being soaked with WD-40 i decided to go back at them, well both bolts snapped, I was cussing a storm of course. But one of the bolts that snaped on the driver side had enough space to put a bolt on...about a 1/4''. But i got the on side bolted down with one bolt and the other has 2....So what is the best way to get these broken bolts out of my exhaust manifold? Or should i just buy headers?

if you can afford new headers i say go for it...
i forgot how those look. i dont know if you can pull them out. if you can pull them out than do that and get some grade 8 bolts and nuts from a hardware store and throw those in. dont get nylon lock nuts they will probably melt.

While you are having these problems get a new mid pipe. You are going to hate the sound of the LM1 combined with an off road X, and also lose a little low end power. I had the same broken truck sounding combo for a few weeks before it was gone.

Not worth the time to pull them out, when you can just swap in better flowing headers. If there stuck in there good its going to have to come off anyhow and be put in a vise and have them removed. I've done this on my f150s 4.6 and its very time consuming.

if you have a propane torch, heat those bolts up, then get your vice grips on them and crank pretty good, they should come out....if you can spray some PB Blaster on em, see if that helps loosen up, then try to heat em up.
#20
Have you actually removed the stock studs in the stock headers with that method?

if he's talking about the end where the exhaust hooks to the manifold like I think he is, then yes you can do it.
#22
There is your problem. WD40 doesn't do crap for getting bolts loose on exhaust. Someone else already mentioned but next time get PB Blaster from auto zone. Works 1000x better.
Good excuse to get some headers though. You'll like that a lot better than just a mid pipe! I hope you are going to sell the mid pipe and get lt's...

Then, try to borrow a buddies ride to transport yourself to and from the burn unit. Also don't forget the sharpie for your new DIY eyebrows.

do you ever post anything productive? or do you just come on here to upset people?

did it on a friend of mine's 91 LX 5.0., we spent forever trying to figure it out, then i got my propane torch out, heated the bolts up, and cranked em out with some heavy duty vice grips.
