Default Question on cleaning the IAC

I'm cleaning out my IAC, (see idle problem thread). I've got MAF cleaner and throttlebody/air intake cleaner. Will either of these work, or should i go get some carb cleaner?

Not real sure, to be safe, just pick up some carb cleaner. I mean, it's only like 3 bux. I also spray a little bit into the TB where you would put see foam.

Clean it out and let it dry now apply some lubrication to the two plunger shafts as they need to move in the out without restriction. I took one apart and that was the issue. I will do a write up to explain how the IAC works since I completely opened mine up I had to order one from Randy but I did find out how it works and how it may be fixed.

I cleaned out the IAC with carb cleaner and it worked fine afterwards, but stalled out this morning when i started it. I cleaned it out again and it worked.
So, it looks like i'm going to have to take it off and give it a real thorough cleaning and see how that goes. If it keeps acting up, i'll have to get a new one.
My car has 73,000 miles on it and i've never had any problems with it, besides this idle thing lateley. I wonder if it's time to seafoam it. I've read the tutorial and am still undecided. Those for it make good points, but so do those against it.

Ok let me try this again, "You have to lube the Shaft" so she said LOL. You have to understand that the plunger can not have any resistance so when you clean it with carb cleaner its good and bad. Good becuase all the gunk is off but bad becuase you remove any lube that the plunger shaft had therefore causing it to get stuck while its trying to move. If you look at a new one that plunger shaft has lube on it.

I'll probably do this over the summer so since lube is required, what do you recommend?

When i have some time this weekend, i'll probably take the IAC off again and give it a good cleaning. What kind of lube do you recommend for the plungers?
