instalation pricing???

for just installs, gears can be 100-300 depending on shop and if you have disk brakes, add a few dollars more if you want the bearings replaced while you have it a part..
Spring install is usually around $100, but dont forget you will probably need an alignment.
x-pipe is usually around 75-100, can be more depending on if it is an auto, or if there is any problems with the manifold studs.
#2 and 3 are very easy and can be done by almost anyone with simple hand tools, i would try it yourself and save the $. gears are a little harder to set, and require special tools, so if you are hesitant about the other two just take it to a shop..

find a good local place that specializes in exhaust, stay away from the major chains.
for $250 total, this place here in denver cut my exhaust after the cats, welded on a custom made 3in xpipe (they made it for me there), and ran straights with 3.5 x 14in chrome tips. Thier welding job was about the best i have ever seen.
Sounds damn burly. That stang turns a lot of heads with that sound. Straights really are not overly loud either. They can drone a bit at highway speeds though.
i checked with Midas and they wanted 375 for the exact same setup. Mieneke wouldnt even do it unless they let me put on thier flowmasters, that racked up to 600 bucks.
With V8, mufflers are optional. <grin>
then again, im thinkin of getting some mac mufflers installed. Might as well go with something that will not only sound good but also increase performance

gears cost me $250 to have installed, i tried putting my x pipe on myself but snapped the header stud inside the threaded part and had to pay to have it removed, so if it looks rusty be very careful doing it yourself! you shouldnt have any problem with an aftermarket exhaust already being installed because theyre all designed to bolt up in place of the stock exhaust at the same point.
