Default Prochamber

I have a friend who recently sold his 97GT. But before he sold it he removed his Prochamber O/R X. I wanted the SLP O/R X for my car but don't have the extra $$$ to spend on it. He said that he would sell his pipe to me but we arn't too sure if it'll fit or not. I have SLP Loudmouth cat-back on a 03GT with no mods done to the headers. This pipe is comming from a 97GT. Does anybody know it'll fit or not? Thanks.

The prochamber will not fit your car, there is a different part number for the 99 and up models. I took off my 3 week old mac x-pipe yesterday to install a prochamber and will sell it all boxed up cheap if interested. I didn't notice any power difference between the 2,other than the prochamber is quieter. Looking inside the prochamber it appears to be more restrictive than the X pipe (wich would explain why its quieter) I could see that it may make more torque but I doub't it has any more horsepower,if it does it would be less than 2-3 difference in my opinion. I have yet to see anyone doing a published dyno comparison between the different designs and brands out there but would like to read that if anyone know's of such a published article. I would sell the Mac X-pipe for 100.00 shipped,a savings of 80.00 over new.

The prochamber is not an x-pipe its a mid pipe with a box int he middle.

and it will fit the 96-98 have adifferent part number becauyse they have extra hangers on the mid pipe for the exhuast jsut leave them or cut them off and they will bolt right up to any bolt in catback. no problem. I know i have a h-pie for a 97gt my self. its just the hangers that are different.
