I just got a 96 GT not to long ago for really cheap and it has some problems. The main one is when I'm going down the road trying to keep one speed the seems to shakes like its in to low of a gear but it's an auto. If I get it to it really hard and she downs shifts (auto) it hits really hard with some long stall time. I'm pretty sure thats the trans but not to sure on the first problem. It also has a uneven idle. Any help guys?

 

just do the normal maintanence and an overall checkup of the car. Look at everything, and make sure the vcaccum/breather hoses are not leaking any air. Sounds like a tranny problem though.

 

Might want to take that tranny in. It may have been modded and now just causing some problems
