Default bbk long tube headers on an automatic

i have an automatic 2001 gt an i have shorty headers but i want more f-ing power an sound an i wanna switch to long tubes but heres the thing slp headers are so god damn expensive i heard mac suck an bbk is always a pretty good name a couple places i look say u cant use long tubes with automatics an on the bbk website doesnt say anything about long tubes not workin on autos an on some other sites its a mixed comments about it does anyone know the real truth an if i can run bbk long tube headers with my auto with no problems it would be greatly appreciated for ur feedback

not true T...the autos are more bulky than the manuals....so certian longtubes fit both or just manuals...

i believe that bbk DO fit but dont quote me on that

but again...you get what you paid for...im willing to fork over the extra cash for the slp only cause im biased hahaha

I ask the guys from HP here in FL and they said theyv'e put BBK LTs on autos before.

Ive heard of people doing it. But the general consensus is they dont fit. Also, Mac doesnt suck...

I have the SLP Longtubes and they fit fine on my Auto with a stock
K-member. A bear to install but worth it.

I actually installed mine while I had the tranny out. Then tried to shoe horn the tranny back in. I ran into a lil snag as the "ear" used on the assembly line to move the tranny around stuck out and wouldn't clear the header. So to make a long story longer I cut it off.

I'd just like to state the SLP Headers are High end but High Quality also.
They are stainless steel and ceramic coated inside and out. I've heard the BBK are not as nice.I'll leave it at that as I do have some BBK bolt on's that I'm happy with.

All is well in Automatic Longtube headerville.
