Default New 02 stang

Hey guys im new to this forum!
Well i just got a 02 mustang gt for my bday. (badass car)!!! Its an auto and everything is stock cept for the flowmasters that was put on it by the previous owner. I drove a couple of stangs but i ended up cidin on this one. The only prob with thsi one is when i accel it shifts from 1st to 2nd really quickly and my engine pretty much dies. If i accel really slow from 1st to 2nd that solves the prob but if im gonna do that whats the point in a stang? i got it for speed. If there is anything that i can do please tell me guys! By the way one reason i cided on this one was cus it had the mach 1000 system in it! anybody got anything to say on that tell me too. But i really need help solvin my tranny prob! Thanx!

R U absolutely sure that the flows are the only mod? The car may have had gears added and not had the speedo calibrated. That could result in a shifting problem that you described. Other than that, have the car checked out by a pro. Get on top of it right away to avoid potential tranny damage. There is a lot of data that gets inputed into the computer to decide when to shift and there is a problem somewhere.

Unless you have a lot of miles, you should still have some factory warranty on the car. I would take it to Ford for sure.
