Post Clicking noise??

When I first got my pypes(mustang tuning brand) uncatted xpipe put in a while ago, it would seem to make a strange clicking noise when i would apply throttle at low rpms(below 2000). then i got the slp loudmouth put in and the sound is stil able to be heard despite the loud exhaust. i was wondering what that might be and/or how it might be fixed.

sorry, i guess i didnt tell where the noise was coming from :violent1:

On the xpipe, there is a part on the left side going into the headers that is separated(i guess it make shipping easier) so you gotta conect it and then install it. well, it sounds like its coming from where you connect it bc i can hear it below the car on the drivers side right where the two pieces join. and it also just sounds like clicking. it may or may not be. lastly, the guy who put it in for me says it is completely secured, but the noise may be air escaping. urrgghhhh i dunno. anything form anyone would be nice

To find leaks you can stuff rags in one side of the exhaust and throw a couple of smoke bombs in the other side, seal off that side with more rags and see where the smoke comes out. This does work, the gas company uses this to find leaks in underground pipes.Only they use bigger smoke bombs.I had better clarify this though. The gas company uses a compressor that pushes the smoke into the pipe. They do not throw the smoke bomb into the pipe by itself.

You have an exhaust leak for sure. I would be suspicious of the passenger side right where ti header hits the mid pipe.

I am thinking that who ever put you exhaust on for you did not put a gasket or seal on the edge of the pipe.

Also look at the exhaust and see if there are any rust spots. If so take your finger and see if you can knock some of the rust off and see if there is a hole. and just perform a visual looking for holes.
