Default MGW shifter and Grill delete installed..

well today i finnaly installed my MGW shifter and my grill delete the shifter is sick but i noticed its alot rougher then the stock shifter to shift is that normal for a aftermarket shifter? the throw is alot better but just moving the shifter in general seems rougher then when the stock shifter was in is that normal and will that change overtime?

What do you mean its "rougher" ?
Aftermarket shifters are going to lock into gear with zero to very minimal play. Its going to be a tad more noisey with noticable trans noise.

Do you mean that it feels kinda stiff? If so, i put my MGW in about a month ago and it was kinda stiff for about a week or two, now it slides into gear with the nudge of a finger.
