Default Choose My Hood

Remember I have a full Saleen body kit, here are your options: Mach II hood, Heat Extractor Hood, (Cobra 03/04), and the expensive Saleen hood.

I'm leaning towards Mach II cuz I love how it looks with the Saleen front, I know this is either a hate/love hood.
I can also get this hood for only 270 bux with a fully finished underside.

Mach II...

It's cheap and it looks decent, better than what you've got now anyway.

Yea, there's this company an hour from me called Champion Fiberglass Products. Got the Mach II with a 3 1/2 inch cowl with working vents and fully finished underside liner for 270, so I can just pick it up. I'm planning on doing a wicked paint job since I would need to paint the hood and have to repaint my front bumper.

I would love to keep it Saleen, but I can get the Mach II for 270 and can pick it up and not worry about S&H prices. Anybody know of some good low price hood sites?

I would spend the extra money and get the Saleen hood. If your going to do the rest might as well make it complete.

I think in some RARE cases the mach 2 hood can look bad ***. But even if you dont like it on this car, thats ok because you would be looking at his tail lights anyways.

Do NOT get anything other than a saleen hood on your car. You already have the rest, do NOT skimp out now. Do it right, personally, I hate that Mach II hood.

Honestly, I think you were the one who pointed them out to me. They list they're prices at 270 bux. Is that wat you paid? minux tax of course, I assumed you picked it up? What hood did you get and may I ask how much you paid for paint and install of the hood?

Yeah I think I did tell you about them... I think I paid $280 for the hood and I paid $400 to have it painted (but the majority of the cost was the paint, Competition Orange is $250 a quart plus other painter materials, I think I was only charged $110 for actually labor)

here are a few pics of the 2000 Cobra R I bought from them:

Get the mach 2 I have seen the hood from the company you want to buy it from up close. They are very nice quality well worth the money. You will still need hood pins, but the gel coat is a very nice white coating. That company always comes down to the ford super swap.

AWESOME, from these last two posters I think I've definately made up my mind. One question, the regular Mach II hood does not have working scoops with a 2 1/2 inch cowl, the second Mach II (super Mach) has working scoops with 3 1/2 inch cowl. Which one????????

Do you guys know if these came with the grilles/mesh for the scoops?

I dont think it came with the grill, I would get the one with the open scoops. Help push some heat out faster and looks a little sweeter.

Again, find me a saleen hood for 270 with liner under hood, and nice quality. This is what I'd pay for the Mach 2 hood.

What about the Saleen Hood in carbon fiber? Would this be too drastic with my car being white?

The mach 2 hood isnt even ricey man. The members in this forum think everything is rice. It's what you like. At that price you should love it. That front and hood combo is badass.

Thats what I think. I'm still leaning towards it, I mean I could have a brand new hood painted and everything for 450
