time for new rotors
whats up guys, replacing my rotors, I was just wondering which ones were better that mt sells, the ford racing cross drilled and slotted or the powerslot rotors?? Also are stainless steel brake lines worth getting? Will i notice a difference? Thanks

Quick guess: slotted rotors fall under the performance part category and like any performance or race oriented product, they are more likely to be abused and therefore requiere more maintenance/replacement...so they are "bad" in the sense that they chew up your pads faster than plain ones.
I would like to attend a few track event with my car, I don't think that by the end of the year I'll need my both hands to count how many I've attended, so I'm leaning towards plain rotors that are more street-usage friendly (...so I believe!)
Hence my dilema: plain Brembo or the Severe Duty Brake Kit M-2400-C ??

Severe Duty brake kit = Blank Brembos
Anywho, its mostly coming down to "slotted/cross drilled eat your pads faster." Not so much an upkeep problem. I just changed to slotted, and i have not noticed a large cut in my brake pads as of yet. They still look like they are where they are supposed to be.
Slotteds are structurally sound, cross drilled or not. Thats the biggest argument that most people will bring up. Cross drilled can crack given the correct set of circumstances. Slotted wont unless you are taking a sledgehammer to them.

slotted isnt bad they just eat pads a bit faster but its not to bad at all.
Drilled is bad because they tend to crack once you use them hard. When mine go bad i am just oging ot get some slotted ones off ebay.
