yea, at first IF i did it, it would be empty in some sections, but mid as well do the work NOW and then later all ill have to do is add text and links and itll be fine...ya kno? but thx

 

eh, i kinda disagree. it's better to wait than to have empty pages. kinda like an under construction site. make the pages as you need them. just my opinion.

lol, oh no i wasnt trying to brag. just offering some help. i dont have a portfolio put together anymore, everything is scattered on my computer (organized but scattered).

 

lol its ok, im not a pro at web design as u can tell, just some gradient bars, text, lines, and a banner....lol...i mean i made it in 15 minutes in my 4th block class, so its not done yet obviously...lol

alright, cuase id like to do alotta things to it, but not overdo it, want basic flash buttons, to where when rollover, itll do a small sound(not annoying sound) and prolly flash into a type of yellow...

is there a code to basically do a windows media player kinda deal, like for videos, itll load the video in a new window or sumtin? lol...

and u kno anyway to have like a random picture kinda thing for the side?

Yeah, a banner with maybe a Mustang doing a burnout with the site name in the smoke would be pretty sweet. I'm trying to remember the name of the program that used to have a pretty good user interface that created flash for you and gave you all the codes to put into your site... It did everything from intros to buttons...Let you use your own graphics and everything. Maybe I can find it online later.

 

alright cool thx, maybe i can just FIND a burnout, use that as an "intro" then as it stops, ill have it fade out and have the site name on it....then enter button and skip intro, and itll OPEN a new window (thats why the site is so small, wont have to scroll so much, scroll bar will be in the text box and more compact...)

and for the side, i think imma do, a WEEKLY poll, and then car of the week or sumtin..

imma work on it 2morrow after i work on my schools website lol, since THATS for a grade...


oh and to wut u said, if i decide not to do intro, imma try to find a burnout pic from side view, take out the background and keep just smoke n car, and put the name in the smoke as u said, ill see wut i can do and thx for the idea

 

Yeah that sounds cool. Or even do a set of gauges with the logo on them and have the gauges rev up and then cut to a sweet *** burnout.....

Nice, would be cool if it was really user friendly, I could see it being VERY popular with all the Mustang Groups. But you'll need ALOT of bandwith, I can't imagin how much bandwith Streetfire.net uses....

i use to, wish i still did...but imma prolly get some webspace, and just see what happens, if it ends up costing TOO much...then prolly just take down some videos...and/or ask for any type of paypal donations to help keep the thing up...

alright guys...i played alittle more with it, added some lines in the background, link names, an 03-04 black stang in banner(it looks nice because i added some bs content just to see it filled and it doesnt stick out too much...MIGHT do flash later...), added a side with weekly stuff for it...and more if i forgot it...lol

Ok....kinda bringing back this idea again but different layout (basically the same, but diff colors and idk...just doing it for sure this time...

i need name ideas + color ideas because right now its mainly black everywhere...



any color ideas, adding color sumwhere, takling color away, text suggestions, link ideas...etc...

ill have enough space to host peoples vids + pics (itll be submit to me then ill put it up personally)

 

i like the idea of having the "A" and the "M" a different color than the rest of the letters in the header but you cant use blue because the background is blue. unless you wrap them in a white outline or something.

once you get some text in there it will get rid of all that black..

 

yea the text will help, but i tried doing black offset and blue outline, looked bad....so maybe a DARK grey or sumtin that wont blend with blue, but wont blend with the black outline?

and any ideas for other links?

as soon as the main outline is done, imma add some text, add drop down menus, and add basic flash in the banner...

then get each page done and then i HOPE to get some volunteers to gimme videos to add to it
