Any of you guys plan on going to UTI or any of you currently enrolled. If so what program are you planning to do or doing right now. I'm currently trying to get in the whole process of checking it out and stuff. Trying to go in and do a mix of the NHRA Drag and Ford Program so I can stay close to my Mustangs. I want to do something in my life like the guys at Modular Powerhouse do.

If any of you know about the qualifications, price, and what school is better (NC or Florida)?

 

Stay away. Ive heard nothing but BAD things. Most importantly, the "garunteed jobs" they offer, well, I know people STILL waiting on those phone calls...do what a friend of mine did, get together with a local dealership, and see if they will let you work for 3 months, go to a tech school for 3 months, work for three months...you get the drill. He gets paid GREAT money, drives zo6's, and is getting an education WHILE getting paid for it. Experience is ten times as good in this field as going to UTI would be for you.

 

Does he have a college education or anything? And what kind of tech school is he attending? He just graduated with me, this will be his "college education"

 

No its a school called Greenville Tech right here in SC. Its like a Technical college. He just graduated with me, this will be his "college education"

 

I mean, is it like a automotive school or like a computer and networking place?

 

Its just a college that does a bunch of different majors. Think of it as a college that has an automotive tech program, but also teaches stuff like business, and nursing and crap like that.
