Hey - Is anyone having any issues with the new skin?

We are still trying to get it upgraded to VB 3.5.3 and we will soon have gallery or some such thing installed. But is the skin moving around fluid and quickly for all of you? The other day load times were very bad but that may have went away.

Also - Are any of the graphics on the skin not loading for you? Please describe.

The skin is fine, but I get nothing but red x's when people post pictures, and you have to click on them to see the pic.

 

the only real problem i've noticed is when you attach a picture the thumbnail doesnt show up.

 

You also don't get the PM notification deal window that pops up when you have a new one.

 

Check your user control panel, that part wasnt changed, only the skin.

another thing, on the right side of a thread the quote and edit buttons are still from the old layout. are you going to change those?

 

Dunno about that one there Floppy. If it was changed in the skin it might be. I dont know everything that was created for the skin, so it could be there.

also, just noticed the little checkmark icon that means you're subscribed to a thread is still from the old layout. not a biggie but letting you know in case you didnt see it.

 

load times are much slower than before. other than that its aight.

 

We havnt updated to the new version of vbulletin, which might resolve this.

Remember, this skin is more graphic intensive and server intensive, so the load times will be a bit longer.

 

i think the skin looks really tight but like everyone else said...the pictures come up with a red x until u click them

Yes I think it's just the attachment's.

 

i did notice that the website loads slower than the last one, but once im in, its fine. same deal with pics (red x's)

 

works perfectly fine for me, minus the attachment deal, but you always had to click on them before anyways

 

is there supposed to be a picture under the MustangBoards.com and your #1 source.... cuz I see a little red box as if a picture failed to load there

 

We're still getting stuff worked out. I know the attachment thing is a new setting that Jason put into effect because its sucking up load times. We might have to change to the whole "host pics first" thing if we cant resolve the server load.

 

I think it's a little bit faster right now.

 

Again, same deal with the attached pics. I've never experienced slow loading time with the new skin.
