Default R.I.P to my stang!! :(

Well guys...i guess i'm joining the club. Yes the Dead Mustangs club. Last night i trashed my stang. Yes it was my fault. No i wasn't drinking, No i wasn't speeding....i was actually going 5 mph. It would have been a lot better if i was going 150 or drinking cause then I could justify totaling my car.....but no. What happened was i was picking up a friend around 930 and we were going out to eat. Well I took the wrong turn and he said that i could get out by going around....well i had the dome light on inside cause he dropped something, and i dont' know if any ofyou have been to Tucson, but there are no streetlights except on the major roads and i have 5% tint all around. I couldn't see a thing with that light on. We were in a little alley and i must have drifted over while the light was on and when i turned the light off...i couldn't see the road for a split second and i see an electrical box in front of me.

Well i tried to miss it...but bumped it at 5mph, in first gear.....and you guessed it..........it SET MY CAR ON FIRE!!!!!!!!!! We jumped out and knocked on someones door to get an extinguisher and that didn't work. So i had to sit and watch my car burn till the fire truck showed up. O heard the intake blow and that was LOUD. That's a horrible feeling. One of the worst i've experienced.
It's pretty much a total loss. The inside is burnt and the engine bay is my wheel is pretty much gone. I'm going to try to post pics. Would have been ok except for the fire.

i really don't know what i want to get now. I was thinking of going the 03 cobra route...but insurance is going to rape me. Not sure if i want to take it in the *** yet. But i have been thinking of a Caddy. I've always liked them, and i figured that i've had mustangs for the past 4 years...might try something new. I don't know. I'll post pics of what i get though

looking at those pics.. Dam I have no words to describe it. I would be sick. Sick enough to stay home from work and call my doctor for a note. That's pitiful. And saying I'm glad your ok and this and that, I bet don't make you feel any better, But anyway I'm glad your ok and sorry for your loss..

Im so sorry to see that man. I cant imagine, this is why I really want a fire extinguisher for my car, I know it seems ricey, but im not mounting it on my a pillar. I just cant imagine having to watch my baby burn like that, and be able to do nothing. Now, im not trying to be the vulture, but like he said, the back half of the car is still partable. AND, if you are interested, I need some trunk struts for my car. Let me know man, sorry to see such a gorgeous car go down like that.

Thanks guys, I actually did call into work the next day. LOL i was not going to get any work done if i went in. Yeah i actually have to take it to the dealer today for the insurance. I'll let you guys know what's up about parting it out. I just have to get it to them first, and hopefully it's a total loss. Know what i mean. So if they total it, i have some stuff up for grabs. I'll let you know.

Oh and about the fire extinguisher....yeah i tried to do that and it didn't work at all. It just got bigger. I mean i guess their good for putting out flames in the inside ect, and i would def invest in one, but this time it didn't work. Oh well huh

Glad your ok man.....I'm sorry to hear about your car....that really sucks. It's really crazy it caught on fire like that. I had a sweet Jeep Cherokee Limited that caught on fire for no reason one time....I also had to watch it burn to the ground so I feel what your going through.

DO NOT get a cadillac unless its a cts-v, and thats only because its not powered by a cadillac engine. They are THE worst cars to have as far as problems and its always electric. I work for GM, and I see this everyday.

yeah it's all good guys. I don't mind parting with the stuff.....i came out ok..and i'm pretty laid back about everything. I wasn't all crazy when it was burning i was just singing that Usher song in my head..."Let it Burn" LOL. But the thing is since i've signed it over to insurance...it depends on if they'll let me part it out cause it'll belong to them. So i'll keep everyone posted. Just a word to the wise though...STAY AWAY FROM ELECTRICAL BOXES!!!!!!
