Default 00 vs 01?

i found this red 2000 mustang that i like. Looks like it has been really well maintained with only 39,500 miles on it. My dad mentioned to me that the 00 was on the consumer reports "stay away from" list. Any of you guys think that it is just how you take care of it?

the guy wants like almost 9 for it which is bs but my el padre can low it if we decide to check it out. But i have to convince him that there is no reason why we shouldnt get it.

GT or V6?

If its a GT it might just be because of the plastic crossiver tube.

I stopped even reading CR after I learned how they rate their vehicles. The 2000 really isnt any different than the 2001 drivetrain/performance/safety wise.

For 9 grand shoot for a GT. No reason to get a V6. Bump your HP up a bit .

There is a reason to get a v6...................My high insurence. Can't afford a gt insurence. For a V6 it will be really high because of my accident
